Established in 1867, Tullaghansleek Stud is Ireland’s oldest family-owned stud farm. For seven generations, the Carey family has bred horses known for their quality, soundness and athletic ability.
The stud is located near Kilbeggan in County Westmeath, just beyond Mullingar and within easy reach of the M6 motorway (Dublin–Galway). Set on fertile limestone land, the farm provides an ideal environment for raising strong, well-balanced horses.
Alongside its traditional breeding programme, Tullaghansleek Stud operates a modern Equine A.I. Laboratory and Station, offering a full range of reproductive services to breeders in Ireland and internationally.
Today the stud stands a select group of Thoroughbred, Irish Draught, Connemara and Sport Horse stallions.
Tim Carey and his daughter Claire welcome all enquiries and are always happy to assist breeders. Please visit the Contact page to get in touch or call:
