Carrickcottage Star is a powerful and athletic individual with loads of quality and substance. He has a wonderful jumping technique and combines his huge scope with exceptionally light, free movement for a horse of his size. He will combine stud duties with competition on the national circuit.

Carrickcottage Star is the only fully approved stallion son of Carrickrock Close Shave, who in turn is the only approved son of National Champion RID stallion, Foxglen Himself, now standing in USA. Carrickcottage Star offers breeders the only other opportunity to access the rare bloodline of Foxglen Himself.

DAM LINE

Carrickcottage Star is descended from an outstanding mare line. His dam, Huntingfield Hat-trick was a former national champion and winner of the Leitrim Breeders All-Ireland Championship. His Granddam was the great Pride of Down who won numerous All-Ireland Championships including the Aer Rianta and Slieve Bloom Mare Championships.
