Multiple Group Winner and Champion Stayer in France, Valirann is one of the Hottest Stallions at Stud in Ireland and England, with Stores Realising up to €155,000

Race Record
Valirann was recognised as the leading three-year-old stayer in France, narrowly missing an undefeated record with four wins from five starts. His impressive racing career included victories in the Group 3 Prix de Lutece and Group 2 Prix de Chaudenay, both over 15 furlongs in his final two outings.
He’s another who I’d imagine will be going down the Gold Cup route. The way he won the Brown Advisory at the meeting last year and the way he handled the track and the occasion, we’d have to be plotting a route back there for the Gold Cup. He’s a horse who improved all season and I’m sure he’ll improve more again this time. – Willie Mullins

Pedigree Highlights
Valirann is a son of Nayef (Gulch), a four-time Group 1 winner and a proven sire of sires. Nayef secured notable victories, including the Prince of Wales’s Stakes (1m2f) in 2003, the Dubai Sheema Classic (1m4f) in 2002, the Champion Stakes (1m2f) at Newmarket in 2001, and the Juddmonte International (1m2f) in 2002.
Nayef produced four stakes winners in 2015 alone and seven stakes winners in 2014. In 2015, 31% of his runners were stakes winners, with an overall winner rate of 49%, and a 33% strike rate for two-year-old winners.
Nayef’s sire, Gulch, was a son of Mr. Prospector, a leading sire in North America. Gulch won major races like the Breeders’ Cup Sprint and earning the title of American Champion Sprint Horse the same year.
Bred by The Queen, Valirann’s granddam, Height of Fashion was a resolute galloper in the mould of her sire Bustino. A winner of the Fillies’ Mile and Princess of Wales’s Stakes, she later became a foundation mare, producing several influential offspring.
Valirann’s dam, Valima, is a stakes-winning daughter of Linamix (Mendez). She has produced three stakes winners, including Valyra, an unbeaten Group 1 Prix de Diane-French Oaks winner.
Valirann’s pedigree is further bolstered by his third dam, Vadlava, who produced Val Royal, a Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Mile winner and sire. She is also the granddam of Valixir, a Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes winner, and the third dam of Vadamos (Monsun), a Group 1 winner and emerging sire.
